余进于2013年毕业于北京林业大学自然保护区学院野生动物与自然保护区学专业，获学士学位。现为北京林业大学自然保护区学院硕士研究生。余进的研究主要为银喉长尾山雀亲鸟和帮手在繁殖过程中的投入策略。2016年6月，余进完成了硕士论文《个体、生态和社会因素对银喉长尾山雀（Aegithalos caudatus glaucogularis）喂食投入的影响》，获得硕士学位。

Jin YU graduated from the College of Nature Conservation, Beijing Forestry University in 2013 and received a bachelor degree at the major of wildlife and nature conservation. He became a M.S. student in the autumn of 2013 and his project was about the investment strategies of Silver-throated Tit breeders and helpers. In June 2013, Jin finished his thesis titled "Effects of individual, ecological and social factors on nestling provisioning of Silver-throated Tit" and received his master degree.
